General Information Questions

Are all the ACE courses open book?

Yes.

If a caregiver brings completed topics from another facility can we use these?

Yes, as long as the caregiver has reached the required standard , you will need to check the completed topics to confirm this.

What do I do when a student leaves but has not completed her/his papers?

Give the student the papers to take with him/her. The papers are the work of the student and therefore belong to the student.
  • If the next facility the caregiver works for has the ACE programmes, the student will be able to complete the course there.
  • The new ACE Programme has been written so that if a student is half way through a programme and leaves the Industry or goes to a facility that does not have the ACE programme then assessment can occur. For the normal $52 processing fee a partically completed set of papers can be moderated and the completed unit standards are noted as achieved and registered on the students record of learning.
