This 12-module programme was developed to provide on-site education for care staff in residential care facilities. For each topic there is a video, manual and full set of assessment materials. The topics covered are:

This comprises additional assessment so that the ACE Core Programme fully meets the assessment requirements of unit standards:
5012 - Lift and position people safely
5015 - Support an older person to enjoy life in residential care
5016 - Provide a safe environment for an older person in residential care
5019 - Assist an older person to meet their physical needs
5020 - Suppport an older person to maintain their rights and responsibilities
These unit standards can be cross-credited to the National Certificate in Support of the Older Person and the National Certificate in Diversional Therapy.
