This course has been developed in order to provide another step in a learning pathway for care staff in residential care facilities. It builds on the ACE Core Programme and ACE Dementia Series. It incorporates the remaining unit standards required for the National Certificate in Support of the Older Person.
Following are the module titles for the ACE Core Programme-Stage 2.
The module titles for the ACE Core Programme - Stage 2 are: The First Aid unit standards can be accessed through any private training establishment that is accredited to deliver these three unit standards.
Some students may have already obtained these first aid unit standards from other sources. Evidence of achievement will be required before the ACE Core Programme Stage 2 will be awarded.
Please note: The pre-requisite for the ACE Core Programme-Stage 2. is either
- The ACE Core Programme including Supplement
- Unit standards 5012, 5015, 5016, 5019 and 5020.

There are no cross credits to the new programme from the ACE Core Programme Stage 2. All the unit standards in this programme will be discontinued after 2011.
