The mission of Health Ed Trust is to improve Health Care through Education.
The philosophy of Health Ed Trust is to reinvest any income into education programmes and to provide flexible, affordable, relevant education materials of a very high standard.
Our Board members are highly skilled professionals who have all worked or are working in the Aged Care field. All Board positions are on a volunteer basis. See details under Meet the Team.
Health Ed Trust NZ Incorporated Credentials:
- Registered with NZQA as a Private Training Establishment.
- Accredited to offer unit standards that can be cross-credited towards other qualifications. For example, National Certificates in Community Support Services (Level 3) and the National Certificate in Support of the Older Person. Residential and Diversional Therapy
- Accredited to offer education unit standards 4098 (use standards to assess candidate performance) and 11281 (prepare candidates for assessment). These unit standards are incorporated into the Health Ed Trust On-site Assessors Course.
- Health Ed Trust's programmes have NZQA Course Approval
- Registered as a Charitable Trust
Health Ed Trust is also required to meet NZQA Audit and moderation standards, and ITO (Industry Training Organisation) moderation standards.
Health Ed Trust was audited by NZQA in May 2008. We are very pleased and proud to announce that we been awarded the optimal rating for Private Training Providers. This means that:
- all goals and objectives were met or exceeded
- there is evidence of highly effective teaching and learning
- evidence of effective relationships with and support from external stake holders.
The next Health Ed Trust audit is in 2011. This stringent audit has confirmed the high standards that are strived for and achieved by the Health Ed Trust team.

"Recently the branch chairs of NZACA throughout the country met and agreed to endorse the training programmes delivered by Health Ed Trust. It was agreed that Health Ed Trust's ACE programmes reflect the needs of the industry and meet audit and orientation requirements. NZACA 's members also believed the ACE programmes were cost effective and of high quality.
Health Ed Trust is a not for profit trust, producing proven programmes and more than 15,000 successful students in it's twelve year history. Programmes are NZQA approved and contain National qualifications. Health Ed Trust is the preferred education provider for NZACA.
NZACA looks forward to, and recommends to the sector, the updated ACE training programmes that are being released in 2008."
Health Ed Trust has a contractual relationship with the government agency Careerforce. This relationship provides the Trust with funds based on results and completed Training Agreements.
By receiving this funding Health Ed Trust is able to offer education programmes at substantially reduced prices to all organisations and support workers.
